01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Discover the delightful charm of บุญปาก THAI DESSERT & TEA, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Chiang Mai’s Mueang District. This enchanting dessert and Thai restaurant offers an authentic taste of local flavors, specializing in traditional Thai sweets that captivate both the palate and the soul.

Step inside and you’ll be immediately embraced by a nostalgic, old-school ambiance where the air is filled with the subtle aroma of freshly brewed teas and the sweet scent of handcrafted desserts. The open-air setting—with flowing windows, gentle fans, and vintage-style cold air blowers—adds an inviting, breezy authenticity that feels like a warm embrace from the hometown you long for. It’s the perfect balance between rustic charm and genuine hospitality.

The true stars here are the desserts—delicately prepared and beautifully presented. Guests rave about the customizable dessert trays, adorned with fresh flowers, transforming your experience into a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. Each bite is an exploration of textures and flavors, often likened to the subtle elegance of Japanese sweets but with distinctively Thai nuances: creamy, fragrant, sweet, and refreshingly light.

Beyond the sweets, the menu also features comforting noodle soups and savory dishes—simple yet satisfying creations that echo the heartfelt home cooking of Thailand. While the savory selections might play a supporting role, they add a welcome balance, rounding out the dining experience.

What truly elevates บุญปาก THAI DESSERT & TEA is its exceptional tea selection. Enthusiasts like Krissy Chanderban declare the Siam Jasmine tea here as possibly the finest they’ve ever tasted—floral, fragrant, and perfectly brewed. Tea lovers will find themselves returning again and again, drawn by the thoughtful precision and passion poured into every cup.

Price-wise, this delightful spot offers incredible value without compromising authenticity or quality. It’s an ideal haven for a low-key date or a leisurely afternoon with friends, where the conversation flows as smoothly as the tea.

For those seeking an intimate, culturally rich culinary experience, บุญปาก THAI DESSERT & TEA is a must-visit destination in Chiang Mai. Its blend of lovingly crafted traditional desserts, outstanding tea, and nostalgic atmosphere creates a unique, unforgettable experience that lingers long after the last bite.

My favourite cafe in Thailand. We can choose any number of Thai desserts and the staff will arrange the desserts on a tray decorated with a fresh flowers. Desserts are delicious. Noodles are also available. Highly recommended.

Very nice, old school local cafe presentation. There is no air conditioning, the windows are fully open, and there are fans and a few cold air blowers. Due to the late hour of our visit, there were only three types of sweets to choose from. They are similar to Japanese sweets and taste rustic and delicious. The soups and soup noodles are average tasting, but their nostalgic presentation makes them more delicious. It is a great place to relax and spend time in Chiang Mai. Lots of ants are a charm.

Amazing! I came for the food but I left stunned by the amazing tea. I tried Siam Jasmine (Hot) and it was the best tea I have ever had in my entire life and I’ve tried tea around the world. I would go again. 100000000/10

Very reasonable prices for delicious, authentic Thai desserts! Loved the vibe here, but wish they had air conditioning. Despite that, fans were blasting and we had a good time regardless. Tea quality was also quite nice! Great spot for a date :)

I loved บุญปาก Thai Dessert and Tea. The desserts are absolutely outstanding—fresh, authentic, and the highlight of the menu. Don't skip the savory items; the noodle soup was surprisingly delicious and very comforting. Great spot, great food, and highly recommended for both Thai sweets and a good bowl of noodles!
